Registration

New Student Registration at SJHS

If you have never attended a school in Horry County; or if you have previously attended HCS and now plan to return, new student registration is below.

In order to register your child at St. James High School, please see the list of items below that is REQUIRED to complete registration. When you have the required documents, please visit the link to begin the process of registering for the 2024-2025 school year:

  • Proof of residency is required. Acceptable documents include current (within the last 30 days) utility bills, a current and signed rental agreement, or a valid receipt and letter on property letterhead indicating the student is staying in a hotel or rental condo on a long-term basis.
  • A legal birth certificate (long form preferred)
  • Certificate of Immunization (Vaccinations, Shot Record)
  • A Social Security number is requested

New to HCS-This includes any student who was not enrolled in a Horry County School at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.   

Once this portion is completed, we will proceed with requesting official records from your student’s previous school.  You will also be sent a school level registration code and instructions.

After the registration process is complete and we have received your student’s cumulative records from their previous school, we will contact you to develop a schedule for 2024-2025 school year.  Please use the below link to access our Program of Studies to see what classes are available for the upcoming school year.

 

Returning student needing to register- Returning students who completed the 2024-2025 school year at HCS may visit the Parent Portal and follow the instructions provided to register to return for the 2025-2026 school year. After logging into the Portal, click on the white arrow icon to access online registration. Log in to register here
